Our Commitment to Privacy

Shettleston Housing Association is committed to protecting your privacy. We will not collect any information about you, except where it is knowingly provided by you.

Our Privacy Policy is designed to help you in understanding how we collect and used the personal information you provide to us. We ask that you read it carefully.

We collect personal information through our website when you:

  • Complete and submit a “contact us” form in relation to any of the following:
    • General enquiries
    • Reporting repairs
    • Factoring enquiries
    • Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests
    • Housing Applications
    • Job Applications
    • Making a complaint

For the purposes outlined in our Fair Processing Notice, we may share your information with the following organisations:

  • Our repairs and maintenance contractors
  • External organisations providing benefits and money advice and support
  • Local authorities and Police Scotland

We will only keep your personal information for as long as we need to and full details of our data retention schedule can be found here.

Any information provided by you will be used for the purposes for which you have supplied it. Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.

All Personal Data held by the Association will be secured at all times, whether electronically or in hard copy format, and in accordance with our Information and ICT Security Policy. A copy of this is available on request.   Your information will only be stored within the UK and EEA but in the event that any third party with whom we share your information with, stores that information out with the UK and EEA we, where necessary, will ensure that the appropriate arrangements are in place in relation to the transfer and storage of data within the territory it is stored.

For Subject Access Requests, please complete our form or email DPO@shettleston.co.uk detailing the comprehensive list of information you require. Request for personal information will be responded to within one calendar month of receipt.

Please note that you will be requested to provide proof of identity for any request for personal information.
